What does it mean to defer my enrollment?

If you are accepted into a Quantic class and are unexpectedly not able to dedicate the proper amount of time to the program, you may defer your acceptance by contacting us at [email protected]  You are able to defer a total of two times after your acceptance for up to 12 months each time.  After two deferrals, if you are still unable to complete the course, you will need to re-apply at a time that better suits your schedule.

If you defer into an upcoming cohort, the following actions will take place:

  • You will be removed from your Slack group.
  • Your progress will be frozen, and you will not be able to take any lessons other than the Business Foundations courses that were available before you were accepted.  Any existing progress will be transferred to your new cohort, allowing you to pick up from where you left off.
  • When the new cohort begins, you'll receive a new Slack invitation, the full schedule, and your courses will be unfrozen.

If you defer into an ongoing cohort, the following actions will take place:

  • You will be removed from your Slack group.
  • Your existing progress will be immediately transferred to your new cohort, allowing you to pick up from where you left off.
  • You'll receive a new Slack invitation and a link to your new cohort's full schedule.
